December 03, 2018

Are you looking for a few fun New Year’s activities to share with your kids? Everyone wants to ring in the New Year with their families and create lasting memories. At Right Steps Education, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite ideas that are sure to help you and your family ring in the New Year right.

  1. Countdown clocks area fun way to get ready for the New Year. There are many templates available online so your kids can design their own personalized clocks to best suit their unique personalities. With New Year’s clocks, your kids can take part in the countdown to New Year’s hour by hour and enjoy the excitement in waiting.
  2. You can use many of the same materials for paper plate noisemakers that you used for the paper plate countdown clocks. Noisemakers are a great way for your kids to celebrate the New Year and they’re both fun and affordable to make.
  3. Confetti balloons are another fun craft that you can make with your kids. They are easy to make and kids love them. Party hats are another favorite when it comes to kids New Year’s crafts. Both of these require few materials and can be crafted in less than an hour.
  4. If your kids are done crafting or if you have older children who might be interested in other activities, you can always step out and find a fun local event in your area. Ice skating rinks are open, as well as holiday shopping villages. You can even plan a night for a dinner at one of your local restaurants.
  5. Find some fireworks. There is a slew of local spots that have fireworks for New Year’s. Simply find a local Facebook page or open up the newspaper and you’re sure to find a location that’s hosting.
